My little one is enrolled in the Chinese Mandarin dual language program at her school. What's "dual language"? A class where half of the students are fluent in a particular second language and half do not speak that specific second language - in this case: Mandarin. This way the students can teach each other a new language by conversing as well as receive instruction from a teacher fluent in Mandarin. It has been a month and my little one is singing simple songs in Mandarin on the way home. She is using quite a few Mandarin words in her conversations with us.
